"Representation is essential to stopping the cycle of shame, stigma, and discrimination around our sexuality," the petition states, noting that many men with foot fetishes feel compelled to remain silent due to societal stigma. The petition highlights that approximately 1 in 5 men either fantasize about or actively love feet.

The petition emphasizes the power of coming out about sexuality for those who are closeted and aims to continue and expand this discussion at Fetish Con.
To honor his openness, Fetish Con plans to present Martin with the 2024 Golden Foot Award, recognizing his strides towards fetish awareness. The petition already has numerous supporters signing up, eager for Martin to show up. "We ask that you join us — and our thousands of gorgeous feet — and stand with us, toe-to-toe and in the footlights, to accept this incredible honor in person," the petition concludes.
Reflecting on his feelings in the GQ interview, Martin said, “I love feet. I have a foot thing. I love foot massages, and I would kiss your feet like crazy for hours. But we all have something… Let’s open the conversation.”
