Trump Convicted for Stormy Daniels Case

Popular jury convicts Trump in Stormy Daniels case
Conviction does not prevent presidential candidacy

A popular jury in the state of New York convicted former American president Donald Trump for the bribery case involving former porn actress Stormy Daniels on Thursday, May 30th.

Trump was convicted on all 34 criminal charges of falsifying business records.

The former president, who declares himself innocent of all charges, can still appeal the decision.

The sentencing for Thursday's conviction is scheduled for July 11th.

Despite the unprecedented nature of a former president's conviction, the episode itself does not hinder Trump's presidential campaign, as he remains the favorite for the Republican Party's nomination in the November 5th elections.
